LASH APPOINTMENTS

Be sure to set aside at least two hours for your initial lash appointment.

Before Your Appointment

To ensure the very best results, please follow these important guidelines:

  • Please do not wear any make up to your appointment. ESPECIALLY DO NOT WEAR ANY EYE MAKE UP OR MASCARA!

  • Do not wear contact lenses to your appointment - just wear your normal eyeglasses.

  • Come to the appointment relaxed and ready to be pamped for two hours. Avoid caffeine as it makes it hard to relax your eyes.

  • TURN OFF YOUR PHONE. Your eyes will be closed. I can not stop my work to check calls for you.

After Care Instructions

  • Do not get your extensions wet for at least 24 hours to allow the adhesive to completely dry.

  • Avoid hot steam from the shower and sauna for 2 days.

  • Be very gentle with your extensions.

  • Do not rub your eyes excessively.

  • Do not use an eyelash curler!

  • Do not use any oil-based eye makeup remover.

  • Do not use ANY oil-based products on your extensions.

  • Do not use liquid eyeliner.

  • Mascara will not be necessary with your beautiful new eyelashes, but if you really want to apply mascara, just apply to the tips only - do not apply mascara near the base of the eyelash.

  • Do not use waterproof mascara or oil-based mascara.

  • Do not go to the sauna, steam room, or hot spring frequently. The heat may cause the bonds to weaken.

Here are some FAQs about EYELASH EXTENSIONS…

What are eyelash extensions and how are they applied?

Eyelash extensions are single, mink, silk or synthetic lashes applied directly to the natural lash.  Each lash is applied close to the lash line with a semi-permanent bonding adhesive. A single extension is applied to a single lash, leaving the eyelashes and eyelids to move freely. They are applied carefully, one by one using specially designed tweezers.

How long do eyelash extensions last?

The eyelash extension generally lasts until the natural lash falls out in its natural cycle. To maintain a full look, touch ups are needed every 3 weeks. How long your eyelash extensions last also depends on how you care for them.  Please follow all after care instructions.

Why do I need touch ups?

The eyelash extensions fall out with your natural lash cycle – which is about 6 weeks. After about 3 weeks you will start seeing little gaps where the old ones have fallen, and new ones are coming through – so at this point it’s a good time to get a touch up, so your lashes always look nice and full.

Do eyelash extensions damage your natural lashes?

No!  Eyelash extensions are applied taking special care to ensure that they are all placed individually and correctly to maintain your eyelash health. To ensure the ongoing health of your lashes, we highly recommend that you take the advice of the technician regarding the maximum thickness and length that would be appropriate long-term for your natural lashes.  The eyelash extensions come off when your natural lash falls out, and so long as an appropriate weight extension has been applied, your natural lashes will grow through as normal.

Lash-Angeles customizes the lashes so they are the right weight and thickness, and apply them carefully, one by one, so that your natural lashes remain as healthy as ever!

Is having eyelash extensions applied painful?

No. Not if applied properly! The eyelash extensions are applied directly to the eyelash, so there is no contact with the skin. It may feel a little unusual the first time, but once you get used to it, it should be so comfortable that you may drift off to sleep!

Will eyelash extensions irritate my eyes?

No – once your eyelash extensions are applied, they will feel just like your normal lashes – you shouldn’t feel any difference. The eyelash extension is bonded to the actual lash, not your eyelid skin, so it feels just like your normal lashes. One extension is applied to each lash individually, so your eyelashes can move freely.

Lash-Angeles uses high quality relatively fume free glue, which does not burn or sting as long as your eyes remain closed. People with extremely sensitive eyes or sinus problems may get some watering and slight stinging at the end, but this subsides within seconds.
